Desperate To Breathe

As she did in their previous encounters and really to anyone else in these last few seasons, she didn't startle at the sound of his voice that came from behind her. Though when her face had turned gently to face him she couldn't force the smile she tried to give him. Her brows rose slightly in the attempt, and she hummed in response to how he greeted her. Though Duchess would have never known that he was struggling with his own emotions like she was.

Maybe with the band gone now, and her not being with Indigo, she just really couldn't muster up the need for attention that she had so effortlessly before. Of course she wanted someone or something to fill what she had destroyed and lost but Noir had caught her in one of the lowest moods. She was still careless in her steps of life, but she just couldn't throw herself at him today.

She didn't move from her spot along the Sound's edge, her gaze just moving out towards the far ocean and other cliffs in view, "You are welcome to join me." It was a genuine offer, but Duchess didn't have the sensual intentions that she had so forth coming before. She had hoped he chose to stay, but she probably wouldn't have begged him to either. Maybe, she had made it to the most desperate emotions in her life.
