As one by one her family gathered, the valkyrie offered a look to each. Iðunn settled by her side, though she looked… not the most well. Her forehead creased for a moment, studying the priestess. What was on her mind? Sanngriðr would speak with her later, she supposed. The valkyrie took notice, too, of Bodin’s return to camp. It was as if she could feel his gaze upon her, though her heart squeezed she wouldn’t turn to look. No, she had to play it cool, at least for now. The most surprising appearance of all, though, is Auðr. They’d returned, at last. Sanngriðr wondered what news they brought, and could only hope that there was information to share. Though Sanngriðr knew the proposal that was coming, she was nearly surprised by the show of emotion that came with it. Uncommon as it was for her brother (or any of them, truly) to display feelings as publicly, she understands the weight that it carries. It was a heavy announcement, one of new beginnings. To the valkyrie, it was the very last decision that would keep them from ever returning home. An ending, a new beginning. They’d put down their roots here. They didn’t need to fear, they didn’t need to go back. For that, she was grateful. “I’m in favor.” The words came from her chest, from her heart. She would stand by her brother’s side as she always had. Everything Sanngriðr had done from the start of this adventure was to support a better life for her siblings. Though this was a new beginning, it was in the spirit of her quest from the very start. SANNGRIÐR Kom och hata mig. |
