Usagi glanced over as a tall, dark-pelted wolf approached him, catching his eye. Chartreuse gaze still appearing unimpressed as usual, he gave the willowy woman a once-over as she got closer. It was always interesting to see the builds of wolves he’d sparred. Mainly they had much more bulk in addition to height, meaning he often had to take a quick, rapid offensive approach to gradually break them down or catch them off guard. However, this woman was light and nimble like him, and he knew from just briefly sweeping over her that he didn’t need to jump around so much. She appeared hallowed and intense, clearly having been used to surviving on her own and little else. And from appearances, she wasn’t that much younger than him. She wasn’t one to mess around with, and he’d keep his guard up. It would make for an intense spar, something he appreciated as much as her brisk, firm tone. Straightforward and to the point, as he liked it - not like his brother’s lackadaisical approach to interactions.

Knowing she’d be spry on her feet, he figured he’d give her a run for her money. The male took a few seconds to brace his firm limbs, sinking slightly into his hind ankles before rapidly springing forward, like a rabbit suddenly pursued by a predator. He aimed to close the distance on the she-wolf before pivoting at the last second by her right shoulder, dust kicking up in some form of a smokescreen, but moreso due to his sudden stop as in the same breath, Usagi aimed to check her firmly but not painfully in the ribs with a swift hind leg. If it worked, she’d probably find herself a tad winded, but nothing that she likely hadn’t encountered before.
