The tiger falls, and like a mighty red wood felled by a storm, falls down to the earth. A massive ‘thud’ accompanies the cat’s arrival and Athena quickly works to pin down its wiggling shoulders. Its back paws are slow and easy to dodge, so she stands on the opposite giant front paw and sinks her teeth into the tiger’s shoulder. She seeks to rip tendons and immobilize the appendage. Cerberus is taking its life and she works to quell the frantic movements of the tiger’s limbs. Its body soon falls still and Athena stays in place for a couple more seconds… just in case. When she steps back, she throws Cerberus a huge smile, saying, “Nicely done Cerberus! I will fight with you any day.”
