He laughed and ducked out of the way, and then froze when he saw her flinch and stop. Looking at her, really looking at her for the first time today, he frowned. Furrowing his brow in concern. “Hey!” he said, reaching over and grabbing her, holding her still by her left shoulder so he could pair at her left. It looked pretty bad, more than she got in their practice spars, that was for sure.

“Who did that to you Haze!?” he damned, taking a deep sniff, which only brought him sneezes as he caught the tincture a healer had used to clean it. He glanced up at her eyes, protective anger in there. Enough that he didn’t even register her words on a present. Someone had hurt his best friend, and that was totally not okay!
