He was going to tire quickly moving this fast to try to keep up with the cat's natural lightning-fast movements, and the stiffness and bloodloss of being wounded would very soon slow him. The strength of a wolf lay mostly in stamina, so he would have to outlast her, but he probably wasn't going to be able to do that here without getting himself diced to pieces. Even as the claws scored his thigh, Eligos lunged in an attempt to crush the offending paw between his fangs and take it out of commission, as he did seeking to slam his lowered shoulder into the smaller predator in the hopes of sending her rolling.
