They made contact, the woman showing no fear or hesitation as Cerberus came at her. If he was able to step back and look at the start of their fight, he would be impressed. There were more pressing matters though.

The woman's jaws came down over his muzzle, causing him to retract his attempted bite to her foreleg. He tried to pull backwards but her teeth almost felt deadly to him on the thin skin surrounding his nose and muzzle. He was certainly taken by surprise though that was mostly because of his inexperience to real combat.

He knew he had to get the woman to release her grip on him, so the only thing he could think to do was try and shove his head upwards using force from the ground under his paws. Even with the risk of hurting his face, Cerberus went to swoop up and then down with another attempted bite to the woman's chest.
