Avacyn chuckled a little when Chade brought up how her parents had fought predators with him before and she nodded, confirming that she had indeed gone to fight bears and the like with them before as well. "They do love fighting dangerous animals, that's for certain." Her father especially always had an eagerness for dangerous tasks and fights which she could admire about her parents. They never backed down from a challenge and even sought them out just for fun occasionally as well. She was perhaps a bit more cautious and logical in her daily routines than they were at times, but she liked having that kind of ambition and daringness to look up to.

They started to move around the perimeter of the island together and Chade asked about if there were many predators on the island. "There are still some bears and big cats around the island sometimes," she replied with a nod. "They still come across the land bridge sometimes. I don't know if they realize a wolf pack has taken over this place all the time. Plus, it's a big island and we only use a portion of the mountains." There was more than enough rough terrain on the other side of the mountains for the bears to hide away in.

The conversation took a bit of a turn when Chade brought up the fact that his and Ricin's sister was killed by a bear and she looked over to him with a bit of a frown. She hadn't known that he and his brother had any other siblings before now. Her family had only ever been her and Saracyn so she didn't know what it was like to loose a sibling, but she knew the Mendacium laws and rules and knew that when her mother did eventually have another litter there would inevitably be a death or two involved. Her mother had made it clear to her in their lessons that not everyone would have the same view on death and sacrifice that they would so she didn't really know how to respond, but she could at least agree with the feeling of liking killing the things that had caused him pain. "I'm sorry about your sister," she told him after a moment. "Lets go find you a bear to kill." She gave him a little smile and kept going, signaling for her ravens to help them in their hunt.
