To Aryn's dumbstuck surprise, her kick landed with enough force that the man released her. A hesitantly hopeful grin split across her muzzle briefly and she glanced up from her now-grounded paws to meet his eyes once more. Her heart pounded hard from the excitement and fear, her adrenaline spiking sharply once more as Ruga moved to initiate another attack.

Aryn focused herself, blowing out a steadying breath between terse lips as he charged in, aiming lower this time. She gave a startled eep, desperately trying to recall any fight she'd witnessed to try and determine the best response she could. Time ran out quickly and she found herself lost for options, reaching her muzzle into the pocket of her armor that held her rock and chucking it in panic against the incoming muzzle.
