I want to be a child again

Canta was sitting just beyond the den, her forest gaze scanning the horizon absently. She really was thinking, as was usual for the quite girl. She would focus on a few passing wolves from time to time, imagining what their lives could be like, course they were rather fanciful imaginings, she was still a pup after all. She was fine enough sitting away from the other members, she was more comfortable with her own thoughts than with strangers anyways. She wondered at what her family might be doing right now. The image of her family now held two new members, two ivory women, her aunts Symphony and Novella.
Canta was so wrapped up in her own thoughts that she did not notice the cream man that was coming towards her until she was nearly pressed up against him. The girl suddenly jumped back with a yelp, scrabbling to get out of the way.
