Together they ran and Chimera noted as Reila chose her target, cutting the other two away. Perhaps they would be worth hunting next time, but today they weren't large enough to bother with. As they neared the pit, the elk on Chimera's side tried to make a break for it. Leaping forward, Chimera's powerful jaws wrapped around one spindle-like leg and, with a twist of his head, he practically threw the elk into the pit. The beast went crashing through the net covering and head first down into the pit where it's neck snapped along with its antlers. Chimera almost slid into the pit as well, but threw himself to the side, skidding across the grassy terrain on his hip. He'd pay for that one later.
