As black smoke engulfs the sky RAID

"Sorry, sorry," Halo is barely done apologizing to the first yearling when a second engages her in combat. Shoot, another yearling? Halo isn't sure she would have signed up for this if she'd known she was going to have to fight kids. Still, if it's practice they're after, then maybe this was good for them. Halo, too, was well... basically the same size, if not smaller. That, and (judging by how the Armada's young were trained), she had even less experience. Anxious thoughts still swirling in her head, the tenderhearted healer takes the brunt of Carnage's attack. It's all she can do to bite back a yelp, and even Halo isn't sure if it's in surprise or pain.
At leas the adrenaline would dull whatever pain would come. Though the small woman staggers for a moment, she takes one, and then two long steps-- half jumping, really. It was the length of the strides that would allow her to regain control, and then balance. A moving target would be harder to grab, harder to hit, harder to take hold of. The yearling's jaws move in an attempt to take Halo's entire head-- no, that wouldn't do. Instead they clip the side of her face, but she won't allow them to find true purchase. The skin tears, and the pale girl knows she's bleeding. Still, in the close quarters she's able to lift her head and attempt to return the bite. Though there's not a vicious bone in Halo's body, she makes to bite the yearling. It's a question of whatever she can reach, with Carnage's advanced height leaving Halo a bit on the back foot.
From the attempted bite, Halo would attempt to take a step back to re-adjust. Harrying. Right, just as the Warlord had taught her. Move in, move out. Stay moving, stay alive. Halo would need to be alert and agile, but she could do this. Balanced on her feet, she'd do her best to put some distance between herself and Carnage before the next part of the assault. Halo could do this... right?
