Pyralis basked in the rush of victory but only for a moment. Normally winning a fighter would fill her with a burst of renewed energy but instead she simply felt tired. Getting old sucked. She looked about for a moment and spied a healer sneaking onto the battlefield to tend to one of the wolves that Úlfr had defeated. She could sense by the way the woman moved she was not a traditional warrior. Pyralis licked her lips, tempted to jump on the easy pickings for traditional sense of honor meant nothing to her. However, she found herself desiring to see how she stacked up against her younger pack mate. Could she best the same warrior or were her skills truly fading?

Pyralis faced off against the young man as he charged for her. She held firm, defenses set and limbs coiled. He dove for her front leg and she flinced as he bit around the front of it. Her bracers took the brunt of the attack but she could still feel the uncomfortable pressure. His shoulder headed for her and she pivoted to avoid the brunt of the attack while hoping that pivoting on her attacked leg would allow her to shift the blades of her bracers into her opponents mouth.
