Mortis shook his head, mute for a moment as the two of them considered the implication of the words together. Hikaru’s outrage was justified, and Mortis swallowed, before nudging Hika’s head, and resting his own beneath the other boy's chin. The scent of Hika enveloped him. The scent of salt and musk unique to Hika had come to feel like home.
