i got crabs :)

Now that his broken body was healed, Grimshaw found very little reason to stay within the borders of the Armada unless it be for training or border patrol. Instead, he found himself hunting as he usually did before his trip to the Hallows and his stint of recovery thereafter. With his stitches removed and given the clear to be gentle on himself, he hardly listened to much else besides that his bed rest was over. He spent half the morning beach combing, though he was mostly looking for crabs. Unfortunately for him however, they all seemed to scatter away when he would approach. Figured. He was a massive wolf, after all.

Sighing, he started to think. A pitfall worked with reindeer when he hunted with that large feline, so he wondered if it could work here. Grabbing the bucket he had used to collect the very few things he had found so far, he dug a shallow hole and stuck it inside. Filling around it with sand to keep it sturdy, Grim went to collect the leaves from a nearby plant to barely cover the hole. Crabs probably wouldn't walk right up to it and fall in, but they also weren't very heavy either. Finding the right type of leaf would be difficult, but after a few tries he settled on a particular leaf that seemed the barely hold the weight of a tiny pebble.

With the trap set, Grimshaw moved off over into the shade to watch. With a few new friends and dead fish in the bucket, it seemed like a party! He could only hope the crabs would show up. It would probably be a long wait, since the first crab to fall in didn't until nearly a half hour after he'd set it. Either way, some crabs were better than no crabs.
