Dark Come Soon

He couldn't help but wonder how Jaeger would like this boy; if he would make a good offering to the gods. It had been some time since they were away from their family; and even longer since they had participated in a bl?t, and he could only hope that they were not disappointing their beloved deities. Surely a kind of sacrifice would have to be prepared soon, before the cold of the winter truly set in and prey become more scarce.

Though he leapt forward rather swiftly, trying to snag the boy's scruff in a playful yet slightly alarming gesture, he seemed prepared. Perhaps he had been ready to play all along! The dark-furred boy dodged his jaws, slipping under his chest and running to his other side. "No fun," he said, feigning disappointment, though the corners of his lips twitched upward in a devilish smile. "Tell me, boy; whose company is it that I am so honored to enjoy?" His smooth tones held a seductive quality, something that was not at all uncommon for him. Another gleeful laugh left his lips, as he curled his body to the side, attempting to nip at the back of one of his hind legs, up near his tail.
