Little brither, dear sister
Scylla

As Orthrus spoke, Scylla narrowed her black and blue gaze at him. Why was he talking like a baby? Quickly doing math in her head, she estimated that her younger brothers were about nine months old. They were only a few months younger than she was and she didn't speak like a child, so what was this about? Scylla doubted that Aliana would ignore the progress of her children and knew that her father would demand that they were all able to speak correctly. That didn't make sense to her at all.
Still staring at her sibling, Scylla began speaking of hunting the beavers, explaining that it was easiest to get them when they were coming out of their dams, but he was too big to safely climb on the dams like the small girl could do. She could have pulled them out of the water so the larger pup could kill them, but a commotion up ahead stopped Scylla's words. Looking into the distance, she could make out the big brown shape of a bear moving through the bushes around the dam. Grimacing, the white marked girl motioned with one paw for her brother to move back towards the ferry. She didn't want to fight a bear ever again.
Scylla should be seen as a very adult character who will indulge in acts that others may find graphic and uncomfortable. Steer clear if you don't like this sort of thing.
