Jams And Jelly Season

The berry bushes are heavily laden with bright, glistening, ripe fruit. Fern feels her mouth beginning to water as she carefully plucks them tender treasures, their sweet scent causing salvia to pool in her mouth. While Syanna is working nearby, searching for strawberries to make to flavor wine, Puff scampers around in the bushes making noise and giggling. Fern couldn’t be happier and that is evident in the smile that pull her lips up around the basket. A voice calls out to them and the gray girl turns to see Audra approaching. Her tail wags happily, much like Syanna’s and she bobs her head in agreement when Syanna agrees to the help. Plump berries roll around in the woven basket she has clutched between her teeth and the eager girl almost spills her hoard. Eyes round in surprise and she moves to gently set the catch down before daring to speak.

Just as she carefully settles the basket, Fern hears a delighted gasp and she shoots Syanna a glance, noting the woman has found the berries she seeks. With a giggle, she straightens up and looks to Audra, beckons her closer with pale paw. Happily, Fern says, “Audra! How are you? I am looking for different berry types to make a variety of jams and jellies. Hey, do you have a favorite fruit?” Tilting her head in curiosity, Fern waits to hear if her friend has one. Maybe they can find it and make a special batch just for Audra! The smile that has been on her lips since she came here has yet to leave.
