Waking Up

He had been told ahead of time that Kitsune had prepared for her fight to earn her new rank and that he had been picked as her challenger and Plague was eager and excited for the fight. His nieces and nephews were all growing up so quickly and it was hard for him to believe they were already old enough for things like this. In his mind they should still be the little balls of fluff that he came to visit after they were born. Instead he was pulling on his armor and waiting for Kitsune to call for him while spending a bit of time with his own children in the mean time. They were also getting older far faster than he would have liked and he knew they would be getting mentors soon enough and before he knew it they would be finding their own place in the world and challenging for positions they wanted...

His train of thought was interrupted by Kitsune's howl and he grinned as he got up to go join her, his snow leopards flanking him on either side. He found the fiery young woman easily enough and gave her a nod of his head. He expected a lot from his nieces and nephews so he had high hopes for a good fight, but he was honestly just happy to have a reason to spend time with her and spar someone again. "Ready?" Once she said she was he settled into an easy fighting stance. Viridis, his male snow leopard, bounded forward at the same time as him, swinging wide around her right side while Plague approached her head on. He went to hit his right shoulder into the center of her chest, using the skull affixed to his armor as a blunt force weapon of sorts to make up for the fact that he'd be hitting her armor. Meanwhile, Viridis dove in to try and wrap his paws around her back, right leg, making himself a hindrance to her movement. Plague certainly didn't want to give her any major injuries, but he wasn't going to give her an easy fight either!
