Skill Prompts are a monthly feature that allow your character to gain skills in different ways. <b>Each <u>character</u> can only complete ONE prompt per season</b>, and can be completed either in a solo post or in a group thread. You cannot claim these posts for other skill points! Please note that as long as you complete the objectives, you're free to be creative with your posts and have some fun with these prompts!

For <b>solo posts</b>, you must complete the entire prompt in <b>one post</b>. Of course, you can use these posts as thread starters and continue the thread as usual, but no other skills may be claimed by you from that thread.

For <b>group threads</b>, the word count is <b>cumulative</b> and will be counted over all participants. However, participants must be ACTIVELY trying to complete the skill prompt for their words to count. <u>Note that group threads have a maximum of 3 allowed participants unless otherwise specified.</u>

<u>The Weather Outside is Frightful:</u> Participate in a fight when the winter weather is working to your disavantage.

<b>Goal</b>: Engage in a fight during a windy/snowy day!
<b>Word Count</b>: 1500 (Group)
<b>Location</b>: Anywhere with snow
<b>Tasks</b>: <div align="justify" style=" padding-left:20px; padding-right:20px;">
1. Pick a fight on a windy/snowy winter day.
2. How intense is the bad weather? Will it make the fight much trickier than usual?
3. Try to compensate for the lack of visibility created by falling snow, blowing snow, and/or fog.

<u>You Can Run But You Can't Hide:</u> Use the weather to your advantage when tracking your next meal!

<b>Goal</b>: Using the snow, track a prey animal and hunt it down.
<b>Word Count</b>: 800 (Solo) or 1500 (Group)
<b>Location</b>: Anywhere with snow

1. Find a prey animal you intend to track.
2. Use the snow to your advantage to help track down your chosen prey.
3. While the winter weather can definitely help making tracking prey easier, what other complications might it present?

<u>Immunity:</u> Herbs aren't only used to heal illness, but can often help prevent it in the first place.

<b>Goal</b>: Administer some herbs to a patient to help boost their natural immune system.
<b>Word Count</b>: 800 (Solo) or 1500 (Group)
<b>Location</b>: Anywhere

1. Find someone who may be at higher risk of sickness through the winter.
2. Identify an herb, flower, or plant that may help bolster their immune system.
3. Adminster it to the patient!

<u>Clear Night Sky:</u> A clear, starry night sky is more than just something nice to look at.

<b>Goal</b>: Use a clear winter night sky to help find your way.
<b>Word Count</b>: 800 (Solo) or 1500 (Group)
<b>Location</b>: Anywhere

1. Find yourself somewhere unfamiliar. Maybe you're trying to get back home or simply head to a new destination.
2. Use the clear night sky to help orient yourself.
3. What exactly helps you find your way? Maybe you're using the location of the moon or the stars. Note that constellations change position in the sky throughout the seasons.

<u>Let's Build a Snowman:</u> While winter presents its fair share of challenges, why not make the most of a snowy day?

<b>Goal</b>: Craft a sculpture out of snow!
<b>Word Count</b>: 800 (Solo) or 1500 (Group)
<b>Location</b>: Anywhere with snow

1. Find somewhere with enough snow to work with.
2. Brainstorm what kind of snow sculpture you want to build.
3. Get to work! How does it turn out?

<div class=tcat>BONUS PROMPT - HUNTING / FIGHTING</div>

<center><b>Only one bonus prompt per PLAYER allowed each season. A character can only complete ONE prompt a season, whether it be a bonus prompt or a regular prompt, unless otherwise specified.</b></center>

<u>Fighting for Scraps:</u> Competition is heavy between predators in the winter, leading you to have to sometimes defend your meals.

<b>Goal</b>: Fight off another hungry predator from something you recently killed.
<b>Word Count</b>: 2500 (2 wolves), 3500 (3 wolves), 4500 (4 wolves)
<b>Location</b>: Anywhere
<b>Tasks</b>: <div align="justify" style=" padding-left:20px; padding-right:20px;">
1. Initiate a hunt and see it through to the end.
2. Once the hunt is concluded, encounter a predator of your choosing that is interested in claiming your meal for themselves.
3. Fight them off! Do you win and get to keep your meal, or are you ran off? Either way goes!
