Out of the Norm

She had experienced a great many things while living with Merrick, but when he told her to come with him while carrying a basket of food and a rolled up fur she really did think she had seen everything. For a minute she wondered if she was dreaming or perhaps transported to a different universe, but as they made their way out to the rock garden she had to finally accept that this wasn't a dream at all. He had at least briefly discussed the possible future of having his pups and having a permanent mate with her before when he gave her the option of being free of him, but she certainly didn't expect him to go taking her on dates or anything of that sort. Even still, she followed him obediently with just a bit of confusion and suspicion.

Once he brought her up onto one of the stones that jutted from the ground and leveled off she watched him set up their picnic with even more confusion. First he plans this whole thing, prepared it, and now he was even setting it up to? She didn't have to do any work? She was baffled, but strangely flattered in a way she wasn't used to. It all caught her off guard enough that even as he laid down and got comfortable she was left standing there at the edge of the plush looking fur until he looked back at her. She chuckled a little, mostly at herself, and came to join him. Laying down across the fur, she stretched out similar to him with her lithe form along side him. "So... What did I do to do to deserve such a nice picnic?" she questioned as she glanced at him curiously, genuinely interested to see what had gotten a brute like Merrick to put this together.
