Venom didn’t expect a win out of a rank challenge, it was simply the motivation and determination to take on such a fight against one’s betters. Kitsune stood up, challenged Plague on her own, and showed her skill against her uncle. That was the main goal of a rank challenge and Kit had showed her prowess and determination, that was enough for Venom. Even if she wasn’t her daughter.

Surprisingly Kit leapt forward towards her mother, joy and surprise evident on her innocent features as she kissed her mother’s cheek and spoke uncertainly.
