Burn Me To The Core

Chimera's idea to help the pack cool off from the nearly oppressive summer heat with a nighttime swim had been a fabulous idea to the clouded grayscale queen. Aliana had been teaching their boys how to swim with the start of summer, and now they would get the chance to put their practice into action while staving off the muggy evening air. While she watched the pups play in the shallows, Chimera approached and urged her off away from the others. Ali left Dalila and Siren in charge of the little ones, then happily followed her king down a long private stretch of the beach. Each step took them further into the darkness of night and drowned out the shrill giggles and squeals of the pups with the gentle rhythmic waves of the ocean. The moon hung in the sky and cast the black sea into a sparkling sheet of silver. It was beautiful and romantic, and Aliana appreciated the alone time she found with her mate. He'd been working so hard lately and been out on so many trips, going about her days or falling asleep alone at night hadn't become too uncommon a thing. She would never complain, of course. She appreciated everything Chimera did for the pack and his family.

The pair of wolves rounded a curve on the beach, walking side by side with their coats brushing up against one another's as they went. It brought a small smile to the demure lady's lips as she gazed up at Chi's handsome features with affection sparkling in her aqua eyes, enhanced by the starlight. With the start of the Austerian summer came Aliana's estrus cycle, and she'd found herself feeling more affectionate and physical than usual with her king. The salt on the air did little to mask her scent of heat, though she doubted Chimera would have any complaints. At some point amidst their moonlight stroll, Chimera had decided it was time for a break, and the next thing Ali knew, he was flopping down to the soft golden sands and pulling her down with thickly corded forelegs to join him. She gave an airy little laugh as she fell with a splash in the shallow water with him, snuggling up easy in his embrace while his muzzle burrowed into her neck fur. Chimera had an uncanny way of making her feel so petite and feminine with just how large he was by comparison.

Aliana lifted her muzzle for his advances, humming in soft delight as he nuzzled and nibbled along her throat in a delightful way. Dainty alabaster paws slid up between them to stroke across his chest and shoulders, turning herself so she was pressing her soft fluffy underbelly up to him. It was a subtle show of submission but also total trust. He mentioned hoping nobody drowned and Ali giggled, swatting at his shoulder with a playful smack. "You're dreadful," she remarked with a grin at his dark humor. She felt his paw snaking through her fur, trailing down her side and leaving a path of fire burning on her skin wherever he touched. All of her nerves were hyper sensitive in her current state, so the squeeze he gave to her shapely rump made the clouded fae yip in surprised delight and press herself further into his muscular form. "I'm better now," Ali answered, giving him a small smile and honest eyes while she gazed up into his mismatched eyes. "Chimera, I... I want to apologize to you for how I've acted. I've had some time to think about it, and... I'm sorry for my behavior. I understand you do things to help others, and I shouldn't let that make me question your love for me." Petite snowy paws began to comb and pull through the thick split-toned fur on his chest as she gazed up at him with big, apologetic eyes. "I just got so afraid... You're all I have in this world. You and our sons. I panicked thinking I might lose you to someone else. But all I did was upset you and upset myself. I'll be better about that. I promise."
