Along The Lines

Reila easily and happily joined beside Chimera as he motioned, still with that familiar smile on her maw. It had been sometime and even a little bump in the road but she was comfortable with Chimera. She had been for a while. He really had allowed her to grow in her own way and time and it seemed she may have been attaching to him. She wouldn’t know for sure right now, in fact she wouldn’t even notice. She did like to act as if their relationship was completely calm and usual. And it was, save from the thoughts that pulled at her mind half the time.

With the scent of rain in the air and the distant sound of thunder, it seemed this area of Auster would be refreshed from the dry season. How else would the grapevines thrive so well. "We can pitch a tent for the two of us." Reila suggested with a smirk before hopping up under the tarp of the cart and pushing out the tent they had stored. She wasn’t planning on staying overnight and they still had some time, but the unknowns of the storm was sure to grasp them. She hadn’t brought the herbs she needed for sleep but... she felt like maybe the nightmares had gotten better and maybe she wouldn’t struggle in Chimera’s arms who she had grown to care for. Once they set the tent up the gentle rain started to fall. She entered the tent inviting Chimera beside her this time with a paw raised in the air like it was an easy fit for him there.
