Along The Lines

Reila agreed to pitch a tent and together the two erected it. Once the frame was in place and the oiled skin over top was secured, Chimera made sure that their items in the cart wouldn't get damaged if the winds picked up or the rain became torrential. Just as he finished, the rain began to fall, the droplets creating a steady hiss as they struck the plethora of leaves overhead.

Moving towards the tent, Chimera smirked as he noted Reila laying inside with one foreleg lifted as though it was her turn to spoon him. The brute padded into the tent, turned, and lay down behind her, pulling her back into his embrace instead with her back against his stomach. There was no telling how long they'd be here, so he did his best to get comfortable.

Outside the thunder rumbled continuously and the rain came down harder and harder. Outside, the grape vines disappeared behind a white sheet of rain. One paw stretched out, swiping at a little toggle and another skin fell into place, trapping the pair in a much darker space as their entrance was cut off. Though the storm raged, Chimera found it to be rather soothing. The brute placed his cheek down flat upon the ground beneath them and his top foreleg draped over the small woman. He was content to stay like this until they could move on. Little did he know, they were going to be stuck there til morning.
