Coming to a wedding hadn't exactly been Saracyn's idea of a "good time". Another feast, another gathering of Ancients knew how many wolves he didn't give a shit about, and more forced socializing sounded more like the yearling's definition of hell. But there had been a promise of a fighting tournament, and that had more than caught the interest of the Mendacium prince. And so he had begrudgingly accompanied his parents down to the wedding reception of their friends, the alphas of the Hallows. He'd given his bare minimal congratulations to the happy couple, then went to stand off to the side of the room until the fighting was due to start.

Once the Aegis called for the start of the tourney, Saracyn quickly rose to his paws and followed rank and file out to the sparring grounds just outside the castle walls. He much preferred the open air to the enclosed space of the castle interior; out here he felt like he could breathe and move at least. Artorias explained the rules and Saracyn huffed with disappointment. He'd known about the no weapons and armor rule, but no maiming either? This was child's play... Still, a fight was a fight, and he'd take any scrap he could get. Striding into his designated ring when his round was called, Sara flashed an arrogant smile to his parents and sister, rolling his shoulders to limber up his muscle while he waited for his opponent to stand against him. This was going to be fun!
