Go for a hit, and keep going. So when she didn’t move to the side, but instead leaped straight into him, he startled.

Her teeth clamped onto his neck, and using a page from his Grandad's book, he rocked his weight forward. Leaning into the other wolf as he attempted to wrap his paws about her shoulders in a bear hug. His teeth going for the back of her neck at the same time.
