Saracyn lunged, and as he did, he saw his opponent drop into a crouch, ducking beneath his snapping jaws. Though he had avoided the brunt of the strike, Sara was still rewarded with the scrape of his sharp teeth against fur and flesh, just not where he had been aiming. He failed to find purchase, unable to get the bite nor grapple he'd sought. Instead, he felt the other wolf's antlers graze against the side of his neck, making him wince from the sting they brought. For some reason, the other brute had turned his head away instead of giving him the full force of his antlers. He was holding back. That gave the Mendacium prince a weakness he could exploit. If his foe was restraining himself, then he would not show that same mercy.

The mottled wolf pushed forward with all his weight, and though Saracyn tried to brace himself to stop the push, being only on his hind legs didn't give him much stability. He shuffled back, then slid as his foe brought a paw up to try and grab him by his shoulder. With no way to release the other fighter in time, Saracyn took the brunt of the shove, slipping and instead of rolling away, he doubled down, using his position over top of Ezra to try and loop his paws around the other wolf's neck as those same sharp teeth aimed to snap ruthlessly along his shoulder. If he managed to get his grapple in this time, Sara would let his dead weight pull down on the other wolf; his foe would need to content with his weight pulling him down while his razor sharp teeth sought to tear into his shoulder over and over again.
