Meet the family

Arcturus and Vanille didn’t have to wait too long for his mother to appear. She looked as tough as ever in her new armor though he didn’t think much of it. This was just how his mom always was so it didn’t really occur to him that she might be intimidating or anything like that. He gave her a smile as she questioned who Vanille was, but just as he was about to answer her he spotted Tira walking toward them so he waited for her to reach them so he wouldn’t need to repeat himself. Satira was a bit more direct and obvious about her distrust and it made his ear flick, giving his sister a quick pleading glance to be nice. He wanted this to go well and hopefully they wouldn’t scare Vanille off.

“This is Vanille,” he said to introduce the smaller blue-hued girl beside him and answer both of their questioning. He leaned a little closer to Vanille, his upper foreleg brushing her shoulder in a little encouragement since he could tell his mother and sister were going to be a little more protective than he had anticipated. “We’ve been hanging out a lot and she’s been helping me with hunts too. I wanted you two to meet her!” It was the first time he had ever brought anyone “home” so to speak and the first time he had a friend outside of his sister so he hoped maybe that would give Vanille some leniency in their eyes.
