He didn't say anything when she spoke again, talking about taking his virtue. Instead he gave her a long glance and pulled back another swig of the wine before his gaze moved back into the fire. He was acting maybe a little hard to get, but that was really not the case at all. Balthier had never been with another woman besides Azzurra, he had never had anyone come onto him, hit on him, show any interest in him. And he didn't do the same to anyone else. He was more secluded in nature anyway and Azzurra was all he needed. Still, maybe that was all he wanted but with his mind clouded in wine and judgement that wasn't possible. Once she had hit her first heat season he too experienced some sort of change in his sexual desires. He was scared to really unleash himself onto her, and in turn that mixed with the struggles they already faced. Now he was, just as she said, a sad drunk.
As she downed the rest of the bottle he offered, he rose a brow before grabbing yet another to pop open fresh and place it down in front of her. Maybe his giving spoke louder than words. Maybe this was some sort of exchange between them. He wouldn't admit to it yet, only when it was actually happening.
When she mentioned him sulking, his paw raised up over the top of his bottle before answering, "That's what this is for, isn't it?" He took another swig of his bottle where his eyes looked up at her face and as he dropped the bottle back down into the sands his gaze wandered down her body that was lit up just by the fire in front of them.
