Need A Friend Or Something

Fia had been born really for the best way of survival. Being so young and in the winter of the nearly northern island, her coat would quickly grow accustomed to the weather. She stayed inside most the time anyway... unless her parents took her out. She was getting just a little more freedom but maybe that was because she didn't tend to travel very far from the den on her own anyway. It wasn't that she was really being a good child. She just preferred to stay near the den. Irilyth would be around if she ever needed her at least.

Her big but small paws made their way outside the cave den, just in the little clearing there she wouldn't run off somewhere on the island. There were a few inches of snow on the ground. She had seen snow before but this would be the first time seeing so much of it. It was chilly on her toes but she would get used to it rather quickly. The snow was still flurrying down on the island, she couldn't even see the lake from here which she could have on any normal day.

Her eyes landed down on her paws that started to shift the snow between them. The fluffy snow stuck together easily in a soft powder form. Slowly she rolled it around just right where she stood until she took a step and followed it around. Seeing the snow was so moldable, her belly flopped down where she stood and started shaping the snow on the ground rather than rolling it. Piling it up in a sort of mountain to build her shapes, she started with a big V shape down in front of her before picking herself back up and moving around to start on another part of her strange little sculpture.
