Where there was fire, there was Kerberos. Usually it was because he started one, but in this case he had found lava instead. It was as if it called to him, pulling him closer and closer until he found the source and soon he came upon a strange crack in the ground that led far deeper than he had ever been before. His body quivered with excitement as he traveled deeper and deeper into the pit that would surely lead him straight to Hell, as if he didn't already have a one-way ticket there when he dies.
The heat was almost unbearable, but Kerberos wouldn't let that stop him from exploring. He had to be careful where he stepped, making sure that he wouldn't melt a toe off if he stepped in the wrong spot, but that was part of the fun of it. Besides that, what else did he have to worry about? There was no way anything else lived down here and he doubted anyone was visiting.
