Lizard Licking

Now this was a place he'd never been to before. The west was full of surprises, and this place was as dry as a baked bone. He narrowed his eyes against the dust that kicked up from the breeze, a light coating of snow on the ground but it would seem that the dust still beat the snow by a huge margin. He doubted this place saw much snow...or moisture in general. The land appeared dry and cracked. Practically void of life. Did anything live out there at all? He was keen to explore every land, to see what resources each one held, but he was more interested to see if there were any more strange creatures roaming about ever since...well...the ice bridge and the long nights. He wouldn't be surprised if something else decided to appear right before his very eyes, but still. He'd hold his breath.

Movement caught his eye, though it was small and he almost missed it. If it weren't for Knut's interest in whatever it was, he would've thought he was just seeing things. But this was a desert. And where there was desert, there were lizards, among other things. One just had to know how to find them and spot them since most desert dwellers blended in so well. While their packs were full of deer meat from their latest catch, lizard skins could prove useful.
