Moving On
Chimera

Azzurra was somehow both surprised and not at the same time when Chimera mentioned how Balthier had asked to leave. Part of her had wondered if he had just stormed off and hadn't reappeared yet, but it seemed like his absence was more premeditated than that. His claim of needing a break did rub her the wrong way for some reason though and her ear flicked with a bit of irritation, but she tried not to let it show on her face. It made her wonder what else Balthier had claimed or what he had told Chimera in order to get permission to leave. "I see," she said quietly with a small nod while she also grappled with the fact that her brother had also done all of this without saying a word to her. Vanishing without trace and leaving her on her own. Maybe it was hypocritical and a bit unreasonable for her to expect him to even tell her that he was leaving after how their last interaction had gone, but it didn't stop her from being offended that he hadn't. "I appreciate that," she replied when he mentioned how he had assured her rouge brother that she would be safe here. She had no doubt that he had meant it too.
When he told her to come with him she did so without hesitation and walked with him back the way she had come, walking toward the bungalows she had just been inspecting a bit ago. When he insisted that she didn't need to ask to choose her own dwelling, she glanced down with a nervous flick of her ears. "Oh, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't encroaching on too much space... I know when we moved in it was kind of expected that we would share a bungalow so... I just wanted to be respectful of your pack and plans." She wasn't really sure how many bungalows were still left unoccupied on the island or what Chimera's plans were for how many wolves could live here so in her mind it was better to ask than to assume. She glanced up at him again, a small smile tugging at her lips as he told her that she wasn't alone here. "I'm... starting to learn that," she said softly. Erys had been her first big step to finding someone she could trust and be close to outside of Balthier and now that she was here talking to Chimera he didn't seem as scary as he had once seemed. He was still a very large wolf with a lot of strength and power, but he no longer seemed unapproachable.
When they neared the bungalows she spoke up again, saying, "I was considering this one over here." She guided him down to the small structure she had inspected before she went looking for him, stopping in front of the empty bungalow at the end of the cluster a couple of bungalows down from Erys'. It was a little disheveled and needed some cleaning up, but it was still very much structurally sound which suited her just fine. Clearing away some stray brush and finding some things to make it feel more like home were tasks she could definitely accomplish on her own. If it had needed larger repairs she would have been more concerned, but luckily she didn't need to ask for any help with those kinds of things. She hesitated for a moment before she looked up at him again, asking, "Would it be alright for me to take a couple of furs from the stores just to get started with? I'll hunt for my own pelts and put them back in a few days."
