The Worst Is Over
Chimera

It had been some time since he'd taken a hunting or gathering trip with Reila. Their last had been making horrible pots and, while they had enjoyed themselves, Chimera was intent on never trying to make pots again. He had just finished checking on the "stock" and had been walking back to his quarters when the bob-tailed woman caught him. Her words brought a soft chuckle and he nodded, turning his attention to Roc, asking the dog to deliver a message to his queens that he would be out of territory for a few days.
Reila already had the cart prepared and of course he wouldn't allow her to pull it as it was loaded with supplies. Chimera simply followed where she led. It had been a long day and he was a little tired, but he didn't let it show. Since the woman had invited him out later in the evening, he imagined they would complete whatever task she had in mind on the following day. She'd said 'break' but he didn't think she actually meant laying around and doing nothing. In his mind, a break meant a trip away from his alpha duties. There was no way he could know exactly what she had in mind.
The majority of the journey was made silently and neither of them minded. It was a comfortable silence and no words were needed. By the time they arrived at the falls, night almost had its full grip on the land. There was just enough light to collect firewood and set up the tent. Once there was a happy little fire going in the center of the clearing where they'd stayed before, the giant brute slid down to lay on his belly, a sigh escaping his maw as he performed a much needed stretch.
Chimera is a very adult character and takes part in very adult situations. Don't read his threads. Ever.
Chi has three black Tibetan Mastiff's as guards. Assume they're very close by.
