The Worst Is Over

Reila worked to set things up while Chimera built the fire. He hadn't noticed the special fur that she laid out, but if he had, he would have smirked. It was too warm for such a fur. Really, they didn't even need a fire. He simply enjoyed the soothing crackles and the soft, orange light. There was no shortage of wood in these parts, so they could have a raging fire all night if they wanted to. He still didn't know what Reila had planned for tomorrow, but he assumed some sleep was in order to have the energy for the task.

As the black and white brute lay by the fire, illuminated in its golden light, the tri-colored fae moved towards him. Her paws found his shoulders and, in typical Chimera fashion, he melted. The man's chin rested flat on the ground between his paws and his body loosened, allowing Reila to massage whatever she wanted. The area between his shoulder blades was tight due to pulling the cart such a long way, but she was working out the knots with ease.

Two slender legs slid over his back and soon Reila was sitting astride the much larger wolf. He could feel the warmth of her body, especially where her fur was thinnest. As small paws kneaded repeatedly into his muscles, Reila leaned forward and whispered humorously into his ear. A low chuckle reverberated through the brute's body. "Yes, I believe I did. You obviously needed it too." He commented in turn and his thick, black tail swished up to flick the fae on her rump as she straddled him.
