Reverse

Revenant was NOT a morning wolf by any stretch of the world. The boy usually slept until well into the morning unless his parents were getting him up for some reason, and even then it was under great duress. Today was no different, as his mother had stirred him from quite a nice dream to remind him of his training commitment with Dunkan. Revenant grumbled and tried to hide, but after his mother pulled the blankets off of his bed, the grumpy pup reluctantly got up and groomed and headed out to find his mentor. Aliana had told him to check the beaches for the man, so that was where he headed. It was still dark, the sun still sleeping below the eastern horizon, but its first rays were just beginning to peek from over the dark waves. Way too early...
Reaching the sands, Revenant found Dunkan's scent trail amongst the salty sea air. He followed it, soon finding the other wolf's paw prints in the sand, and then eventually the wolf himself. At almost a year old, Revenant stood just a couple inches taller than Dunkan, though the youthfulness in his face betrayed his age. "Hi Dunkan," he greeted the other wolf with a sleepy yawn and a tousle of his head. "Mom and Dad said I'm supposed to be training with you." He didn't know Dunkan well; the other wolf kept mostly to himself. But he was one of Fenmyre's top fighters, and Chimera wanted all of his sons to be master warriors as well. So here he was. Bright and early. Joy.
