funny how life changes

He didn’t want to admit that part of the reason the stints of time between their visits was so long was because Ysmir was ashamed. He wasn’t sure he would ever feel like he deserved the love he felt from Gwyn. He couldn’t help himself though, she was the one his heart yearned for, and if she could love him then he would love her in return and work everyday to truly earn that devotion.
The thoughts and self doubt all disappeared as she emerged from the castle walls. He brightened immediately as his gaze fell of her dark form. Her cloak wasn’t covering her form, but the sun did glint off the diadem that he had given her. Before he had even fully realized what was happening between them he had known, and it was shown in the jewelry that adorned her crown. He danced slightly as she raced towards him, he was hesitant and unwilling to cross the border but he wanted badly to help close the distance.
Soon enough though Gwynevere was in his arms again. She slowed before wrapping her limbs around his neck. One of his own dark legs moved to embrace her around her shoulders as he whined softly in greeting. All the while his tail was wagging. Ysmir squeezed her lightly, breathing her in and enjoying the warmth of her body and the warmth that filled his belly in her presence.
She slipped away from him as she spoke her pleasure, and he really started to feel the ramifications of this decision. Of the real possibility of rejection. The reward was so worth it though. Spending his days with her? Never having to say goodbye? There wasn’t anything he wanted more. Gwyn did finally notice the little things he had with him and his expression fell slightly as he read the words on her paws.
He sighed softly, dark ears falling to his skull as he admitted the truth. He wasn’t so sure how to sign what he wanted, he didn’t have a symbol for fireside. My pack is gone. This is the only place I’d rather be. He signed to her and looked up to her mint and lavender eyes. He knew she couldn’t really grant him refuge here, but he knew her word would go far.
