He had clearly startled her and Otis, something he felt a bit bad about, but he could hardly see past how much he could have utterly fucked up. Thankfully, she agreed, pressing her shoulder into his and he relaxed into her touch. Everyday he was grateful for her coming into his life and gifting him with her presence and the lives of their little ones, but it was especially true in that moment.
The pair adjourned to their room, his partner settling on their bed of soft furs, leaving room enough for him but he didn’t feel as if he could lay just yet. He wasn’t sure how she would react when he told her. Their situation was born of happenstance, but they’d at least met on more than one occasion before getting knocked up. From what he’d learned of Sedna, he didn’t think she’d judge him on a possible mistake, on something that was completely out of his control, but this was going to hit closer to home than he had ever anticipated. Literally within their home, in fact.
He paced for a moment, trying to gather his thoughts before pausing and turning to her. “I…just spoke with Hattori, and he insinuated that Kuroo and Usagi are my sons,” he said at last. Between the partners, they rarely beat around the bush when it came to important matters. One of the things he loved about Sedna was her wit and the banter they shared, but when it came to being serious, she quickly got down to business. It certainly wouldn’t be any different now, he was sure.
