Like a cat, the boy clawed up his back. Torben retaliated by rolling over. If the pup wasn't going to play fair, he wasn't either. Crawling all over the dire wolf wasn't the way to go, even if it satisfied his amusement. This field was for battle and anyone who looked in on the pair would know that the massive wolf was humoring the lad. It had been... so very long since Torben had played with children. With a massive, dramatic grunt he rolled onto his back. Careful not to actually hurt the boy, he stopped halfway and groaned softly. It was a hassle to roll all the way because he was so big and fluffy. "Do you submit?" he asked the lad, checking his humor "or do I gotta squish ya like a bug?" He rumbled deeply to the lad, name not known to him currently. But the lad was brave he'd give him that. He threw himself into the challenge of a larger foe. Torben respected him for that. |
