Come Together

The group read each other, moving stealthily and attacking as one. Fern snaps at the tapir and it turns to flee but Rudyard is there to bite a leg and make the pig-like creature squea in pain. At the same time, Jane appears, like gray ghost in the green landscape to rushes in to attack as well, while the silent Ysmir breaks cover to move in and back them up. They work together, hemming the tapir in and, when the gray leader sees an opening, she takes it. Rushing in Fern grabs one of the tapir’s back legs and pulls sideways in a bid to bring the creature down. If Rudy grabs the other back leg and does the same while Jane takes a front leg, the three wolves can bring it down for the tall Ysmir to end. She has faith in her packmates to understand the silent plan as she tosses her weight sideways and starts to pull the tapir down.
