Slow and steady had always been his speed. He was not surprised a king and alpha was skilled, for Torben was not an expert in the art of fighting. He had been a peaceful man but not ignorant. Wars had to be won, sieges repelled and raids withstood. All were the calling cards of violence. Especially in multi-community locations. He grunted as he collided with the armor, but his fluffy exterior seemed to cushion some of the blow. He bounced back with the speed of a younger wolf as Ardyn put space between them, pivoting his body.

They were both of medium weight, so unbalancing would be equally tough for both. He watched, noticing Ardyn balanced by his tail. But the stagger did work, and he shifted balance to three legs now before he rose both his front legs. Swinging his body back, he had a split second to calculate. The end of the fight was near. It was not drawn out or long. He would seek to finish as best he could. He rose before crashing down, trying to flatten any part of Ardyn he could. Torben was no fighter and he would do this by instinct, using his massive body as a weapon when all else failed.
