The bear was quickly buckling under their barrage of attacks and could hardly keep up or fight back at this point now that it was all but crippled. The bite that Merrick gave it to its neck prevented it from trying to curl around and retaliate for the bite he gave it so he was able to move back a bit and figure out a new place for him to strike. In that time Manea made a more intentionally deadly attack as well, her claws tearing open its belly with a pained, slightly strangled roar from the bear from how Merrick's bite was pulling and tearing at the edge of its throat. Its legs finally fully buckled under it, its heavy body hitting the ground with a hard thud. It tried to get up a couple of times and didn't quite manage it, but just in case Arcturus jumped to land with his front paws on the bear's back between its shoulders to keep it down and make sure there was no chance of it getting away while the others finished it off.
