She didn't blame the youngster for being apprehensive. The way he peered at her wasn't surprising, but she was pleased all the same when he agreed. Maybe he always had this sort of standoffish attitude or he had been taught to be wary of strangers. Either way, Audra thought nothing much of it as she followed the obsidian boy with Mack in tow. It wouldn't take long for them to step through an opening where the ceiling opened up above them. Trickles of snow dusted around them as she took in the sight. Before them, there was a myriad of different plants she didn't expect to see this far north. Typically preferring a warmer environment, she wondered how they even got to such a place. "Fascinating," was all she could say as she reached out to touch a few leaves.
