On hot days as such when a drop of rain hadn't been seen in weeks, the piebald young wolf would be found keeping busy along the bay. Even when the weather was stifling and dry, the sandy beach provided shade and the salty ocean provided a breeze. As he sat there on the shore, he enjoyed the way the wind rustled his fur. Both eyes, the color of pale pink roses, were trained on his task at paw. Having been cultivated from the shallow depths feet from him, he had laid out strips of long kelp that began to dry in the beating sun. Carefully, he took a sharpened rock and began slicing them into thinner pieces. Once that part would be finished, he would move on to the next step of weaving them into a new section of a net. The handy thing about using kelp was that it loved the salt water and fish were already familiar with it. Maybe if he was lucky, someone would come along to help him.
