Creak, crack, crunch

Mercury was this giant's name, then. And he was staying nearby. Seumas' gaze focused behind the new acquaintance, focusing on... yup those were indeed an impressive number of caves set into the cliff behind them. He wasn't surprised not to have noticed them. Something about caves had always sent shivers down his spine. When he could, he avoided them. Seumas was surprised he hadn't run into this male before, although the overwhelming scent of the sea did make it harder to pick out any specific scents, in his experience. Was this wolf the only wold nearby, in that case? Maybe there were others in the caves.

Mercury was asking how he came to be on this beach. To be honest he didn't quite know himself. He didn't really know why he was going, or what he was doing these days. Being at such a loss was so foreign to Seumas, that even this innocent enquiry made him feel defensive. If this wolf's voice and demeanour weren't he might not have replied at all.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Seumas, Seumas Cranak." he croaked. "I've been up North, aye. Just dotting myself around." Seumas' eyes flitted away from the other's piercing gaze.
