Deus was so focused upon his own rabbit that he very near missed Corbie circling back to the warren, presumably because hers had been ensnared. The stupid fluffy thing was fast and agile, it's fast moving tail almost managing to fake him out as he saw vibration and anticipated movement. It was not often he engaged in a full on chase with a creature this swift, and by the time he'd herded it into the clearing where the snares had been set up, he was damn well ready for a break. Curling up in the cart with his puppies didn't seem like such a bad idea.

"Well done!" He called out behind him to where Corbie stood guarding the warren, having heard the telltale strangled sounds that meant the trap had succeeded. Turning from her, he moved to return to the snares. The rabbits were not quite dead yet - and Deus' mother had strongly instilled in him the importance of an ethical execution - so he leaned down to finish them off quickly.

Two dead rabbits, two functional snares. When Corbie returned, he was determined to show his appreciation. Reaching his head around his shoulder and toward his scruff, he enclosed his teeth around one crystalline quill and sharply yanked it free. Dropping it into his paw, he held it out to her. "Please accept this as a gift, if you won't accept payment."
