The Worst Is Over

Reila fell easily into Chimera as he pulled her in, finding comfort in him immediately after as they came down from their high. She had snuggled with her temporary masters before, as she had done with probably anything she could physically experience with Chimera. But this was entirely different. She did feel connected to him, she did feel genuine. The happiness she felt from the moment they tethered together would prolong over her. She'd never felt like this before.

Feeling his affections afterwards was nearly as breathtaking as heir acts before, only because of her emotional connection to him. She did feel worthy for this love he showed her, how subtle or prominent the four letter word was. It was care in the least, and she could feel on that same level with him.

Her gaze rose up slightly to the light flickering on his face from the fire as he asked her, a little more of a playful grin over her maw when she went to respond, "More than I imagined." The crown of her head gently pushed into his chest, showing enough to answer his unspoken questions following. She was more than okay and she wasn't regretting. Maybe she was closed minded for her direct longing for Chimera himself, but she wouldn't imagine another life on a different shore than Fenmyre.
