The search for Audra had... not been going well. News of Abaven's dissolving had struck like a sucker punch to the young alpha when it finally reached his ears down on the southern continent. It felt like not too long ago, he'd been greeting Theory at his borders, sharing pleasant conversation about their aspirations and hopes for a brighter future, where she'd told him about her grand plans for the school. To hear it had all gone up in smoke... Artorias almost didn't believe it. But more concerning than the crumbling of a pack was his worry for his own wolf. He'd sent Audra up to teach at the academy only a couple of weeks ago. If Abaven was shutting its doors, what had become of his physician? Without a moment to spare, Artorias grabbed only his sword and hurried up from the Austral lands and into the wet and mucky spring of Boreas, hellbent on the lands that had once been Abaven's.

When he arrived at the once-edge of a historic pack's home, he found their scents stale and faded. His stomach twisted into worried knots, pushing into the wild lands in search of the earthen-hued woman. Navigating the rapids through a series of stepping stones proved no challenge for the fleet-footed adventurer, but no matter how nimble or quick he was, the dark-furred wolf was still much too late. There was no trace of her around, or if there had been, it had long-since faded from existence. He did not find Audra. What he did find, however, was a gathering of wolves. Artorias watched from a distance for a moment, head cocked in a curious tilt as sharp eyes focused in on what he was looking at. A pack challenge. Artorias was about to turn and be on his way to continue with his more important search until he saw the familiar spotted coat of one of the contenders.

Kotori.

Artorias raised a curious brow. His brother-in-law was attempting to take Abaven's former lands for his own pack? It appeared ambition ran strong in Fatalis blood. Art moved towards the gathering, fiery eyes shifting from face to face as he drew near. He did not recognize the other challenger, nor did he recognize any of the wolves standing in support of her. He did, however, see several of his in-laws supporting Kotori, along with Manea, and that made his decision to stay in a show of support all the easier to make. Artorias moved to firmly position himself on Kotori's side, offering an encouraging nod to the spotted male. He didn't feel the need to yell or holler like the giant red wolf making a spectacle of himself on the opposite side. If anything, it allowed him to remain under the radar, just in case things decided to get out of hand amongst the gallery. Artorias walked over to sit beside Zee, Gossamer, and Manea, giving the three a polite nod in greeting. "Ladies," he greeted them with a smile. Then all eyes were on Kotori. This was his moment; he was ready.
