It always seemed like the potential for conflict spread like wildfire though the lands, the drama drawing wolves like vultures. Eligos was no different in this case, because he knew the value of witnessing major events for yourself. The knowledge gained was worth the irritation of sitting through the football-tailgate-esque mess that always formed. People picking sides to cheer on their "team" - he couldn't see how making it into a circus helped either side to concentrate on their fight, if there would even be one. After all, one side or the other could back down before it came to blows, and then wouldn't the hecklers look foolish then?
Aerie newly becoming a band had done nothing to change how Eligos acted as he moved with dignity to seat himself a reasonable distance from anyone else. A leader was a leader, after all, and whether they led a band or a pack didn't change how they did it. He was here now for the same reason he had attended as an alpha - to gain some form of benefit for his followers, even if just knowledge of who stood where.
His eyes swept the crowd, but he had to look again in surprise, seeing Aryn behind the female claimant as though in support. The disposition of everyone else was not at all surprising, but what on earth was Aryn doing?
